Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Taarifa, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Taarifa. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your password safe
• You're responsible for all activity under your account
• Don't share your account with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

4. Content you post

You retain ownership of content you post (reports, photos, comments). By posting, you grant Taarifa a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content within the app and on related surfaces (search results, notifications).

You agree not to post:

• Content that's illegal in your jurisdiction
• Content that infringes others' intellectual property
• Hate speech, harassment, threats, or incitement to violence
• Spam, scams, or commercial solicitation without permission
• False or misleading reports designed to deceive
• Personally identifiable information about others without their consent
• Sexually explicit content involving minors (we report all such content to authorities)

5. Moderation

We may review, remove, or restrict content that violates these terms — with or without notice. Repeated or severe violations may result in account suspension or termination.

If your content is removed and you believe it was a mistake, you can appeal by emailing support@toataarifa.com.

6. Service availability

We work hard to keep Taarifa available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may take the app offline for maintenance, updates, or due to events beyond our control.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Taarifa is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Taarifa is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

9. Termination

You can stop using Taarifa at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. On termination, your right to use the app ends; provisions that should reasonably survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits) will continue.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

11. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continuing to use Taarifa after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
